These Check Valves are made from the highest quality materials. Kynar exterior with a Viton diaphragm. Fits 1/4" ID Hose. Total length of the check valve measures 1-7/8", and outside diameter around the diaphragm measures 3/4". Operating temperature range of -20°F to 300°F (-28°C to 148°C). Excellent Resistance to Alkalis and Acids. Excellent Ozone and UV resistance. Optimum choice for Check Valve type materials. A Necessity when using a dual supply from Generators. Can reduce the risk of engine backfire igniting your HHO Generator. Also great for use in Automotive, Boat, Irrigation, Hydroponic, Aquarium, Ozone/Ozonator, and Pneumatic application. We choose this type for their excellent resistance to alkalis and acids. Since most Hydrogen Generators use baking soda or hydroxide as a catalyst, we find these to be the optimum choice over all others available. Inline Check Valves are a necessity when running a dual supply from your Generator System.
They ensure that your vacuum supply is pulling from your Generator and not following the path of least resistance and looping from one intake source to the other.
Although an Inline Check Valve can reduce the risk of engine backfire igniting the Hydrogen in your Generator system, repeated backfires can burn through the diaphragm of the check valve, rendering it useless as a backfire prevention tool or a one way check valve, leaving no protection from flame passing through the vacuum hose. This is why we strongly urge that you use at least 4 feet of vacuum line as a safety buffer and not just the check valve. We have yet to see a backfire travel the 4 foot distance but have realized it passing through a damaged check valve. This is also why we sell the two check valves and not just one, because we feel there is no need to use a check valve in a single supply system.
The inline check valves main purpose is to eliminate the looping process as explained above.
