It is original, not a copy or reproduction and not professionally restored. I do not sell copies, reproductions or items that have been professionally restored. I make this statement because in recent months many items that are not original are being offered on the Internet, sometimes without any notation of not being original. Therefore, buyer be aware on what you may bid on from other sellers. If you have any doubts, I suggest you ask the seller. Any defects as observed in the picture are from age or normal handling. Here is a 1940s era table place mat displaying a map of the "Original Iroquois Trail" used by the Iroquois Confederacy. In addition, the map also shows the pioneer white settlers route plus the New York State Thruway that was under construction during the early 1950s when this place mat was printed. It was published by the Iroquois Beverage Corp. of Buffalo, NY brewer of their popular Iroquois beer and ale.
This item is in near mint condition, unused and displays crisp fresh colors in appearance. It measures approximately 12-3/4" x 9-3/4" in size. It will be mailed flat and a suitable for framing.
Place mats were intended for single use and were disposed of immediately after clearing the lunch or dinner tables thus very few survived.
Note:
The black border around some of the pictures is background color for contrast and not part of the actual item.
